A Note from Leigh Sutton, M.D.
To the patients of Sutton Ryan Dermatology
Starting in September of 2017, it will be my honor to serve you as a board certified dermatologist with fellowship training in Mohs skin cancer surgery. I have been training for nine years after college. First I attended medical school at University of Nebraska College of Medicine, where I graduated with Distinction. I completed my internship in Denver then onward to dermatology residency at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas for three years. This year I have really enjoyed my fellowship training in Mohs skin cancer surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. I have learned to address my elders (including my mother) as “Sir” and “Ma’am” but I did not acquire the Texas drawl.
Even though I have spent the last four years training in Texas I am anxious to return to Nebraska where my husband Creighton Bassett and I will be closer to family and friends. Creighton, a Hastings native, has been very supportive of my out of state medical training and I know he is excited to be coming home.
It is my sincere hope that I can continue the tradition of professional and compassionate care that the patients of Sutton Ryan Dermatology have received for over thirty years. I am excited to offer additional services such as Mohs skin cancer surgery (please watch for my blog “What is Mohs skin cancer surgery?” ) and to join the rest of the team in our new clinic facility at 56th and Pine Lake Road.
Leigh Sutton, M.D.
New Location, coming this fall!
Sutton Ryan Dermatology and Aesthetic Center will be moving from our 70th Street location to 56th and Pine Lake Road in the fall of 2017. Our new facility has been designed to enhance the patient experience. In addition to providing additional services such as those provided by our newest dermatologist, Dr. Leigh Sutton, a fellowship trained Mohs skin cancer surgeon, we will have additional procedure rooms for skin cancer surgery.
Our aesthetic center area will be expanded with patient comfort and privacy in mind. The additional space will allow us to accommodate the newest, state of the art aesthetic procedures.
Watch for more details on this exciting new chapter in our 30+ year history.
Sutton Ryan offers two procedures approved for removal of under the chin fat!
Say goodbye to your double chin with our 2 these two procedures!
Kybella® is an injection which is injected directly into the area of fat under the chin. One session consists of multiple injections. It works by destroying the fat cells chemically and then relying on the body to remove the damaged fat cells gradually over time. It can be followed by some redness, swelling, numbness, firmness afterwards, sometimes for days or few weeks. It usually requires 2 to 4 of these sessions spaced apart by at least one month each one.
CoolSculpting® we have had for almost a year now, but we have just received a new applicator that is designed for under the chin and freezes unwanted fat. Coolsculpting® freezes the fat in the area under the chin by using vacuum to suck the tissue into the applicator and then applying cold temperature to destroy the fat cells. It typically requires 2 sessions.
